History Of Via Verde Country Club
The idea of the Via Verde Country Club was the brainchild of Vinell Pauley but it was created by Bill Bell. It was built in the latter part of the 1960’s so it is not a very old country club like many you find around the United States. You can find it nestled in the Via Verde Hills. When playing golf here you not only have panoramic views of Southern California but also of the San Gabriel Mountains.
It is a private club that offers memberships for sale and resale. It is considered a non-equity club, which means it is owned and operated by an entity such as a professional firm or developer, but not the members of the club. With this type of entity, the members generally pay their dues and enjoy the amenities without being involved in the operation of the club.
At the Via Verde Country Club, The Women’s Auxiliary and The Men’s Association give the members a shared voice for voting on issues that are club related.
Golf Course History
The golf course at Via Verde Country Club is set apart from the consistency of most golf courses. Every one of the 18 holes of this golf course is unique and meticulously designed. This golf course will give every golfer an engaging, challenging game of golf. The golf course is 6.423 yards for a par of 72. It officially opened in 1968.
